Following on from the announcement by google today (here) about the sitelinks in google ads I thought I’d show a screen shot of how to add them.

As always barry at SER has blog a front end example here: http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/021070.html

So how to add them… Well I’ve just check my adwords accounts and only found it on half of them.

Anyway…

• Login to adwords >>
• click on a  Campaign >>
• Click the “Setting” tab.
• Scroll down to find (or not) the Networks, devices and extensions.

Here what is says:

Show additional links to my site within my ad

You can enter up to 10 additional links that may be shown with your ad. Additional links will only be shown for the single top-ranked ad for a given user search. Additional links are more likely to appear the higher the quality of the ad, and may not always be shown for every top-ranked ad.

I’ve just ran a load of searches and can only find this one example.

I’m not alone in moaning about the uk serps

Take a look at a few of these posts http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/020175.html and http://www.ppcblog.co.uk/google/big-geo-problems-still-exist-in-google-uk-serps plus many others..

Well.. Just now google have changed the UI on google.co.uk serps …

WARNING THIS IS NOT GOOD IF YOU FROM THE UK

So the serps are bad already.. yes we agree on the … but google are testing a new UI in chrome only “so far”..

Google have removed the 2 radio buttons with the options  ”the web” and “pages from the UK”

Ok you might not think it “to bad” but one major thing is the serps..

As the radio button has gone google have replace it with “Show only results for United Kingdom” text link… This in a way take up more space and “could” help the uk serps out BUT not all serps have ”Show only results for United Kingdom” at the top..

The screen shot below shows the ”Show only results for United Kingdom” link at the bottom of a google.co.uk serp!

I really hope this doesn’t  stick as its seems to assume you looking for a no UK result well above a uk result and with the way the serps are already this isn’t going to help us in the UK!!

I started using the beta interface for google adwords on the 14th Feb 2009.. 

Still 50/50 if I like it or not.. some good bits some bad as always… 

Anyway.. Over the weekend I logged in and got a warning telling the interface will stick…

I’ve just checked out a post on SER forum to see if it was a copy a paste job .. you know the sort when someone pastes the same thing about a subject on a load of forums.

Anyway.. The point is that the query return zero results but below showed the results without the quotes..

Here in the UK google has added a link below the bottom search box saying Try Google Experimental linking into the labs page..

I can only assume google is seeing what people like when using the experimental search layout and shortcuts etc..

 Lots of buzz around the 100’s of google UI tests..

Well he’s is a new one for me :

Another new UI test has just this second come up on mi google serps.. I can’t seem to repeat it as always but I’ve got the screen shot..

Anyway I had searched some “term” not really news related and bammm at the very bottom of the natural serps in black and white (well blue) a link to a “pay per view” news article..
