Last week I tired the new astore for UK amazon affiliates..

So what is astore?
Well basically you can create a store in a matter of minutes.

I took me 10-15 mins to set up the store in the colour that match my main reffering site and to add the our logo…

First steps on this system is to  build up handpicked product for your astore homepage..
Once the homepage has been created you can move on to sub pages with selections via the normal amazon method (keywords,cat,search results) 

 I think this an amazing move by amazon as it costs the affiliate £0 as everything is hosted by amazon, but amazon is going to double if not tripple in size…

I really enjoy this book…

boo.com ? Are you old enough to remember the .com boom ?

boo was an amazing example of what was going on in the .com boom.. This was all happening right next to my office in W1 london.. (I go to same places for coffee)…

One word of warning is it a the type of book that you should read in very short bursts.. The read is so easy and to little repetative for a constant reading….

Not a tech book but more a story of real life in the .com world

Yahoo update has gone live (well on all my serps)

 First I heard about the update was from the yahoo blog http://www.ysearchblog.com/archives/000351.html

 Today its finally come up in all my serps..

So far this update seems to of switched to authority site taking over many of the serps.. I’m seeing a lot of amazon, kelkoo and alikes in the top 10.. Not great imho..

I’m seeing a big sift towards URL including page name and sub domain.. Not crazy on this but hey.. someones going to be happy..

Ebay is topping quite a few Serps.. Searching yahoo.co.uk i’m even seeing ebay.com #1 and ebay.co.uk #2 for generic keywords..

I’ll keep looking..

A fun search is “fishing” #9 is worldofwarcraft… :D  need I say more….

So once again we get the magic backlink update..

So here come all the forum posts saying “do people stil care” .. Well newbies do..

Only 1 of my sites have increased in the number of google backlinks… So “who cares” lol..

I always love have a good look @ what comes up for a competitors and many are great places to advertise and promote driving traffic to clients sites..

This is the first post in this section but trust me this is going to be a massive section covering php/asp .htaccess vbulleltin phpbb and bespoke redirecting - 301 for SEO..

 So i’m starting off with some simple php that redirects the index.php to / of the main domain.. This then stops the like of google, yahoo and msn indexing www.seohome.co.uk and www.seohome.co.uk/index.php

So at the very top of the page your need to add the following php

note: you have to make sure that this is only on the index.php file and not on any other file.. If you added this script to another file then it would redirect to the top domain…
