Google getting fast, real fast!

I spotted this morning that a loads of top sites are returning today date as a cache date below the snippet..

If you search for the “bbc” your be able to see the following:

Its 15:58 here in london and the cached page returns the following:

This is G o o g l e‘s cache of http://www.bbc.co.uk/ as retrieved on 1 Aug 2007 01:10:50 GMT.

Barry has already blog this and include and DC that also include time in Mins..

I never saw the mins and the DC isn’t working now.. ahhh well

  • I find it less than excited to read about Google indexing pages quickly, just ten years after they started (based on the domain registration date of Sept 1977 for google.com).

    It was back in that time that I recall infoseek.com was indexing pages in just a day. What has taken google so long to catch up?

    Was it a conspiracy to have Disney buy and destroy infoseek to give Google some breathing room.

    Yeah it’s great that Google is fast at indexing pages now, but has been a long time coming.
